BOM Quiche
- 1 pie crust; premade
- home made
- 5 slices Bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 pkg. sliced mushrooms
- 1 tsp. chopped garlic
- 1 tsp. butter
- 2 tsp. red
- white wine
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs (depends on the size of the eggs
- 1/4 cup half-and-half milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/8 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg
- Cook onions mushrooms and garlic in fry pan w/olive oil until well brown.
- Add wine in the middle of cooking and finish with the butter Using an 8 or 9 Pie Plate, spray with nonstick oil of choice and place pie crust in and crimp edges Beat milk, eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, and spices well with electric hand mixer Crumble bacon on bottom of pie crust and add cooked BOM mixture on top.
- Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese on top Add egg mixture Top with the remainder of the cheese Bake at 350-375 degrees Bake about 40 to 45 min.
- until done in the center; check with a knife Cover with foil if cheese is getting too brown.
