Cocktail Meatballs
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons soy powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup finely chopped onion
- 13 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
- Mix thoroughly beef, egg, soy powder and salt; shape into 50 small 1/2 inch.
- meatballs.
- Arrange in shallow baking pan (12 x 8 x 2 inches).
- Broil 4 inches.
- from heat until browned; turn once.
- Pour off fat.
- Meanwhile, in sauce-pan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
- Add meatballs and remaining ingredients.
- Cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes.
- Stir occasionally.
