A Perfect Builders Brew
- 1 Kettle of water, boiled
- 1 Mug
- 1 Tea bag - PG Tips preferably
- 1 dash Milk
- 1 as needed White sugar
- Boil the kettle of water.
- Once boiled pour a little into the mug, swill around and empty it.
- Purpose of this step is to warm the mug.
- Put the teabag into the mug, re-boil the kettle!
- This is important to get the most flavour out of the teabag.
- Pour the boiling water into the mug.
- Leave the tea to brew for 30 to 45 seconds for perfect strength tea.
- Pour in a dash of milk, stirring untill you get a perfect colour, which should be a tan brown.
- This is a point of contention as some people believe in adding the milk first, however I believe this dilutes the effect you get from the boiling water hitting the teabag and releasing the flavour.
- Add sugar if desired, I prefer not to.
- For true authenticity, serve with biscuits, traditional Nice (as in the picture), or Rich Tea, which you can dunk in!
