Sweet Potato/Bacon Corn Chowder

  1. In a large soup pot cook bacon over medium high heat until almost crisp.
  2. Add white potatoes and onions.
  3. Cover and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Add sweet potatoes, bay leaves, Old Bay, salt and pepper.
  5. Cover and reduce heat to medium; cook a few minutes more until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add remaining ingredients.
  7. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until heated through (approx 10 minutes).
  8. Remove bay leaves and serve.
