Heart-healthy, flavor-loaded Chili
- 1 lb 93/7 lean ground beef
- 1 large white onion, diced
- 1 medium green pepper, diced
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 can 14.5oz diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can 8oz tomato sauce
- 1 can chili or kidney beans, undrained
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp ground coriander
- 2 tbsp worchestershire sauce
- 2 tsp basil
- 1 *optional* shredded cheese for topping
- Get your crockpot ready!
- Chop your onion and green pepper.
- Brown ground beef and add chopped veggies and garlic.
- Save some onion to throw in the crockpot for a fresh crunch
- Transfer your beef mixture to a crockpot, then add all other ingredients and stir together
- Put your crockpot on low 6-8 hrs or high 4 hours and let the flavors marry!
- Top with shredded cheese and onion if desired.
