Cretian Keftedes (Yia-Yias Way)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl add sirloin ground beef, grated onion, salt, black pepper and oregano and mix with clean hands.
  3. Pat out 3 diameter small rounded patties and place on a clean work surface.
  4. On a plate add flour and place patties one by one in the flour, turning to coat both sides with flour.
  5. Depending on the size you will need a couple of non-stick rimmed baking sheet pans.
  6. Place floured Keftedes on the sheets leaving a bit of space between each for baking.
  7. Drizzle Greek olive oil over the floured patties before placing in the 350 F oven.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes (it is not necessary to flip them during baking time).
  9. Serve your desired amount on an individual dish and garnish with feta cheese crumbles.
  10. These are great served with a Greek salad and crusty bread!
