Cretian Keftedes (Yia-Yias Way)
- 24 ounces, weight Sirloin Ground Beef (93/7 Fat To Meat Ratio)
- 2 whole White Onions Grated
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
- 3 Tablespoons Greek Oregano
- 1- 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
- 4 Tablespoons Greek Imported Olive Oil, Divided
- 1 container (6 Oz. Size) Feta Cheese Crumbles, For Garnish
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a large mixing bowl add sirloin ground beef, grated onion, salt, black pepper and oregano and mix with clean hands.
- Pat out 3 diameter small rounded patties and place on a clean work surface.
- On a plate add flour and place patties one by one in the flour, turning to coat both sides with flour.
- Depending on the size you will need a couple of non-stick rimmed baking sheet pans.
- Place floured Keftedes on the sheets leaving a bit of space between each for baking.
- Drizzle Greek olive oil over the floured patties before placing in the 350 F oven.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes (it is not necessary to flip them during baking time).
- Serve your desired amount on an individual dish and garnish with feta cheese crumbles.
- These are great served with a Greek salad and crusty bread!
