Savory and Sweet Hot Potato Salad - German Potato Salad

  1. Boil potatoes until tender; slice.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon and onions together until bacon is crisp.
  3. Stir in flour, sugar, salt and pepper to the skillet with the onions and bacon; mix well.
  4. Add vinegar, water and celery seeds; cook until thickened.
  5. Arrange knockwurst, if used and cooked potatoes in shallow bowl.
  6. Pour hot sauce over and toss to coat.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  8. Serve warm.
