Sweet and Sour Baked Beans
- 1 pound Bacon, Cut Up
- 2 whole Onions, Sliced
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Dry Mustard
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cups Vinegar
- 2 cans (14 1/2 Oz. Size) Butter Beans, Drained
- 1 can Kidney Beans (drained, 14.5 Ounce Can)
- 1 can Pinto Beans (drained, 14.5 Ounce Can)
- 1 can Lima Beans (drained, 14.5 Ounce Can)
- 1 can Great Northern Beans(drained, 14.5 Ounce Can)
- 1 can (28 Oz. Size) Baked Beans (B&M Brand Is My Favorite)
- In a large skillet, cook bacon (do not cook all the way crisp).
- Remove bacon from skillet, drain some of the grease and add the onion.
- Cook until translucent.
- Add brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt and vinegar.
- Cook this sauce for 20 minutes, covered.
- Then add bacon and beans and mix.
- Transfer to a large baking dish and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.
