Three Cheese and Orange Zest Sandwich Grilled on the BBQ
- 4 teaspoons Orange Zest
- 3 ounces, weight String Cheese (3 Individually Wrapped Snack Size Sticks)
- 3 ounces, weight Sliced Gouda Cheese
- 3 Tablespoons Softened Butter
- 4 slices Your Favorite Sandwich Bread
- 2 Tablespoons Crumbled Blue Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Melted Butter
- Heat the grill on medium heat.
- Zest the orange, peel the string cheese, and slice the Gouda cheese.
- Spread the softened butter on both sides of the bread.
- Add the buttered slices of bread to the grill.
- Cook until there are light grill marks on one side (about 4 minutes) then turn the pieces of bread over.
- To each of the sides of the bread with the grill marks, add the string cheese, blue cheese, orange zest, and the sliced Gouda cheese.
- Then close the lid on the BBQ for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and there are grill marks on the bread that is grill-side down.
- In a small bowl, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and set aside for just a moment.
- Next, turn one of the pieces of bread with the melted cheese over, and onto the other piece of bread with melted cheese to make a sandwich.
- Then brush the melted butter on to the top and bottom pieces of bread for each sandwich.
- Serve hot right off the grill.
