Boilermaker Sauce

  1. Heat oil in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic; saute until tender, about 8 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat.
  4. Add chili sauce, beer, molasses, vinegar, bourbon and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Simmer until reduced to 2 cups, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes.
  6. Stir in hot pepper sauce.
  7. (can be made up to 1 month ahead.
  8. Cover; chill.)
