Apple Shallot Saute Recipe

  1. Note 1: Original recipe used butter
  2. Note: Original recipe used 3 Tbsp butter
  3. In heavy 10" skillet over med-high heat, heat margarine.
  4. Slice shallots into very thin wedges and add in to skillet; cook, stirring occasionally, about 8 minutes or possibly till almost tender.
  5. Meanwhile, core red cooking apples and cut them into 1/2" wedges; add in to sauteed shallots.
  6. Add in sliced sage and crystallized ginger; stir to fully incorporate.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Cook 5 - 8 minutes or possibly till just tender.
  9. This was amazing ..... very, very good!!
  10. It was almost a dessert.
  11. Definitely a keeper.
  12. Very easy to prepare.
