Easy Gateau au Chocolat

  1. These are the main ingredients.
  2. I used this size heatproof container.
  3. Place the butter in the heatproof container, and microwave for 20 seconds at 500 W to melt.
  4. Dissolve the instant cocoa mix in the lukewarm water in a bowl.
  5. Add the melted butter and beaten egg in that order, and mix well.
  6. Grease the container with vegetable oil using a brush or a paper towel
  7. Add the pancake mix into the bowl and mix well so that the mixture is not lumpy.
  8. Pour the mixture into the container, and tap it on the counter several times to remove air.
  9. Microwave it for 2.5 minutes at 500 W.
  10. This is right after microwaving.
  11. Remove from the microwave, and let it cool.
  12. When it's cooled, it shrinks a little bit.
  13. Chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours, sprinkle on powdered sugar, and it's done.
