Easy Konnyaku Consomme Steak!
- 1 pack Konnyaku
- 2 to 3 cm square Butter
- 1 tsp Soup stock granules
- 1 dash Garlic powder
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1/2 a mini-pack Bonito flakes
- Score the konnyaku on both sides and on the edges too.
- Cut into easy to eat cubes.
- Boil the konnyaku briefly to get rid of the odor, and drain well in a colander or sieve.
- Stir fry the konnyaku pieces in a frying pan without any oil.
- When the konnyaku is fairly well cooked, add the butter and coat the konnyaku with it.
- When the butter has melted, add the soup stock granules.
- Stir-fry for about a minute until browned.
- Add the garlic powder and salt and pepper to finish.
- Variation: When you want to change it up a bit, add some bonito flakes.
