Creole Soft Ginger Cake Recipe
- 5 Large eggs
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. each of ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt
- 2 tsp. baking pwdr
- Sift together flour, baking pwdr, salt and spices.
- Beat Large eggs, sugar, butter till light, beating whites separately.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, folding in whites last.
- Turn into a greased and floured a square or possibly loaf cake pan.
- Bake at 350
