- 40 grams Butter
- 10 grams Sugar
- 60 grams Cake flour
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 25 grams Maple syrup
- 10 grams Walnuts
- 5 grams Almond powder (optional)
- Bring the butter to room temperature and whisk until it has a cream-like consistency.
- Add the sugar and mix.
- Add the maple syrup and mix well.
- Add the almond powder and milk.
- Break the walnuts up as finely as you can.
- If the pieces are too big, it will be difficult to squeeze out the dough later.
- Add the walnuts and sifted flour and mix with a rubber spatula.
- Squeeze portions of the dough onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 15 minutes in an oven pre-heated to 180C (356 Fahrenheit).
- These are the basic cookies on which this recipe is based.
- They are tasty even without the walnuts.
