sweet and sour pork
- 5 lb backrib loin boneless
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup sr flour
- 1/4 cup shoaxing wine
- 1/4 cup lite soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup Heinz ketchup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup coconut vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup water (for cornstarch solution)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- cut the pork into bite sized pieces add spice to the pork
- add cornstarch and flour to a gallon bag add pork and the rest of the ingredients to the marinade
- seal bag mix well everything in the bag
- let sit for an hour then deep fry your pork
- when done add to paper towels to drain excessive oil
- in a pot or deep pan add your liquids except quarter cup of water
- add sugar get the ingredients hot in a container mix quarter cup water and cornstarch mix well
- mix the ketchup mixture well bring to boil add the cornstarch solution
- whisk till thickens remove from heat and let sit
