Smoky Mary

  1. Mix citrus zest with salt and pepper.
  2. Rim a chilled double rocks glass with a citrus salt-and-pepper mixture, and add ice.
  3. In a shaker, combine the mezcal and sangrita, and add 1 cube of ice.
  4. Shake lightly and pour contents into glass.
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel.
