Banana Bread(Makes 2 Loaves)

  1. Place oven rack in lowest position.
  2. Heat oven to 350u0b0. Grease bottoms only of 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  3. Mix sugar and margarine in large bowl.
  4. Stir in eggs until well blended.
  5. Add bananas, buttermilk and vanilla.
  6. Beat until smooth.
  7. Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts just until moistened.
  8. Stir in nuts.
  9. Pour into pans.
  10. Bake for 1 1/4 hours or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  11. Cool 5 minutes.
  12. Loosen sides of loaves from pans; remove from pans.
  13. Cool completely before slicing.
  14. Wrap tightly and store at room temperature up to four days or refrigerate for up to 10 days.
