Peanut-Apple French Toast

  1. Beat eggs, milk, syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg in shallow dish with wire whisk until well blended; set aside.
  2. Spread 4 of the bread slices evenly with peanut butter; top with apples.
  3. Cover with remaining 4 bread slices.
  4. Melt margarine in medium nonstick skillet on medium heat.
  5. Add two of the sandwiches to egg mixture; let stand 1 min., turning after 30 sec.
  6. Add to skillet; cook 2 to 3 min.
  7. on each side or until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Repeat with remaining two sandwiches.
  9. Cut each sandwich in half to serve.
