Homemade Lasagna
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 lb. lasagna noodles
- 3/4 c. finely chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 c. water
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 (6 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb. cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cook noodles in 6 quarts boiling water to which has been added 2 tablespoons salt.
- Cook rapidly for 15 minutes.
- Stir gently.
- Remove from heat and drain.
- Pour cold water over to cool.
- Cook hamburger in heavy saucepan until color changes.
- Add onions, garlic, tomato paste, water and salt.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Grease a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch pan.
- Start with a layer of noodles, then Mozzarella cheese, then cottage cheese, then meat sauce.
- Continue layering in that order until all is used up.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350u0b0.
