Madame Chocolate's Marbled Brownies Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Butter and flour 9 x 13 baking pan.
  3. Heat chocolate and butter in heavy saucepan over low heat; set aside to cold.
  4. In a mixer bowl, beat 3 Large eggs till well blended.
  5. Slowly beat in 2 c. of sugar; beat for 1 minute.
  6. Add in flour, salt, 1 tsp.
  7. vanilla, and nuts.
  8. Add in melted chocolate; blend well.
  9. Spread half the chocolate batter into pan.
  10. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with 1/2 c. sugar till smooth.
  11. Add in 1 egg and 1 tsp.
  12. vanilla; beat till thoroughly blended.
  13. Add in white batter to pan.
  14. Add in remaining chocolate batter on top of white batter by spoonfuls.
  15. Lightly swirl the batter using the tip of a knife.
  16. It should look mottled.
  17. Bake for 20 min at 350 degrees and then lower temp- erature to 325 degrees and bake an additional 20 min.
  18. Cold brownies in pan on rack.
  19. Cut into squares.
  20. Can be frzn if well wrapped.
