Christopher's Secret Spaghetti Sauce

  1. Heat olive oil in a large fry pan.
  2. Add meat, garlic, onion and green pepper.
  3. Cook until meat is browned and onions translucent.
  4. Drain excess fat.
  5. Transfer mixture to a large pot.
  6. Add all other ingredients.
  7. Lower heat, cover pot and simmer 1 hour.
  8. (I give it only 1/2 hour if I'm rushed).
  9. Remove cover, or keep partially covered for another 30 minutes, until sauce reaches desired consistency.
  10. Should it become too thick, add some water or dry red wine.
  11. Remove bay leaves and pour sauce over cooked spaghetti.
