Manicotti alla Bolognese
- 12 manicotti
- 1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry Italian-style bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup coarsely grated carrot Target 2 lb For $3.00 thru 02/06
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Grated Cheese, divided
- 1 jar (650 mL) Classico di Napoli Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce, divided
- Cook manicotti according to package directions.
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a large frypan over medium-high heat.
- Drain off fat.
- Stir in crumbs, carrot, parsley, eggs, and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.
- Season to taste.
- Spread 1/2 cup pasta sauce over bottom of 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
- Fill manicotti with meat mixture.
- Arrange in a single layer and cover with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes or until tender.
