Ham, Crab. New Potato and Corn Chowder

  1. Boil potatoes until soft.
  2. Drain.
  3. Smash with a potato smasher in large stock pot.
  4. I left mine slightly chuncky.
  5. Add onions, garlic, butter
  6. Stir until well mixed over high heat.
  7. May brown a little,.
  8. Add 2 C corn, creamed corn, chicken broth.
  9. Mix well over medium heat.
  10. Using a blender or cuisenart- Puree mixture in batches to deisred 'chunckiness'.
  11. Return to Stock pot.
  12. Add remainder of corn, ham, celery and crab.
  13. Heat adding Paprika ( 1 tsp gave it a good punch, might want a 1/2 for less spicy flavor), salt and pepper to taste.
