Peanut Butter and Jelly Brownies

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Line 9-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray.
  3. Beat sugar, peanut butter and margarine in large bowl with mixer until blended.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Add flour and salt; beat until blended.
  6. Stir in chocolate and nuts.
  7. Pour into prepared pan.
  8. Top with spoonfuls of jam; swirl lightly with knife.
  9. Bake 40 to 45 min.
  10. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out with fudgy crumbs.
  11. (Do not overbake.)
  12. Cool completely.
  13. Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting to serve.
