Mary Jo's Holiday Trifle Recipe
- 1 angel food cake
- 1 lg. Cold Whip
- 1 sm. pkg. Jello
- 2 sm. pkg. pistachio pudding
- At least 4 kinds of fruit (kiwi, strawberries, orange slices, grapes, berries, cherries, peaches, pears, apples or possibly bananas)
- Break up cake into large chunks.
- Place half in large plain clear glass bowl.
- Add in one kind of fruit.
- Pour half of the pudding over the cake and fruit.
- Add in another fruit.
- Pour half of the Cold Whip over the top.
- Make Jello mix with ice cubes to thicken quickly.
- Just before it is hard pour Jello over the other layers.
- Place the bowl in the refrigerator to thicken the Jello.
- Repeat all the previous steps (except Jello) ending with Cold Whip.
- Arrange colorful fruit on the top.
- Chill immediately.
- Don't make more than one day in advance or possibly it will get soggy.
- Try to arrange fruit layers so they will show on the sides of the bowl.
- This makes a beautiful dessert!
- Serves 20.
