Baked Beans
- 2 (16 ounce) cans pork and beans, lightly drained (about)
- 14 lb bacon, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 14 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 14 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- salt
- Cook bacon until crisp.
- Add green pepper, onion, and garlic.
- Cook until soft and drain, reserving 1 Tbsp bacon grease with the onion mixture.
- Combine all ingredients in a medium lidded casserole, mixing thoroughly.
- Place covered casserole in a 350 degree F for 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 300 degrees F, and bake for 1 additional hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- If desired, uncover for the last 15 minutes to dry out the beans a little.
