So-Easy German Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Prepare brownie mix as directed on package for cake-like brownies.
  3. Pour batter into greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  4. Place butter and cream cheese in small saucepan; cook on medium heat until cream cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently.
  5. Stir in brown sugar.
  6. Add coconut and pecans; mix well.
  7. (Mixture will be thick.)
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over brownie batter in pan.
  9. Bake 30 min.
  10. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  11. Cool 1 hour.
  12. Store leftover cake in the refrigerator.
