South Carolina Sauce Recipe
- 2/3 c. yellow prepared mustard
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1 c. cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp. chili pwdr
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4-5 drops Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. butter
- Combine all ingredients except soy sauce and butter in saucepan and simmer 10 min.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in soy sauce and butter.
- May be used as a basting sauce for barbecue meat or possibly as a condiment when served grilled pork, bee for chicken.
