Mostly Brown Sugar Cookies
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 14 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 cup sugar
- 1 14 cups brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons whole milk or 2 tablespoons half-and-half
- 1 12 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Preheat to 375F.
- Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Cream the butter and both sugars with an electric mixer.
- Add the egg, yolk, milk and vanilla and mix well.
- Add sifted flour mixture until thoroughly combined and dough forms.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons full onto parchment paper (rounded teaspoons for small cookies).
- Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Let cool on baking sheet for 1-2 minutes and remove to cooling rack.
