Banana Cake or Bread

  1. Sift flour.
  2. Add baking powder, soda and salt; sift again.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add beaten eggs, bananas and vanilla; beat well.
  5. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, starting and ending with flour mixture.
  6. Fold in nuts.
  7. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 cake pan, or 2 loaf pans.
  8. Bake at 325 degrees for about 35-40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out almost clean.
