Broiled Steak with Caramelized Onions and Banana Peppers

  1. Place steak in large resealable plastic bag.
  2. Add 2 Tbsp.
  3. of dressing; seal bag.
  4. Turn bag over several times to evenly coat steak with dressing.
  5. Refrigerate 30 min.
  6. to marinate.
  7. Preheat broiler.
  8. Remove steak from marinade; discard bag and marinade.
  9. Place steak on rack of broiler pan.
  10. Broil, 6 inches from heat, 20 to 22 min.
  11. or until medium doneness (160 degrees F), turning after 12 min.
  12. Meanwhile, add remaining 2 Tbsp.
  13. dressing to large skillet along with the onions and brown sugar; stir.
  14. Cook on medium heat 18 to 20 min.
  15. or until onions are caramelized, stirring occasionally.
  16. Let steak stand 5 min.
  17. before cutting half of the steak into thin slices.
  18. Meanwhile, stir peppers into caramelized onions; cook 8 min.
  19. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
  20. Place sliced steak on serving platter.
  21. Spoon vegetable mixture over sliced steak; top with the sour cream.
