French Apple Pie

  1. Heat oven to 425F.
  2. Prepare pastry for pie.
  3. In a large bowl mix sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  4. Stir in apples and mix until apples are coated is sugar mixture and ingredient are all completely moistened.
  5. Pour apple filling into prepared pie crust.
  6. Prepare topping:.
  7. Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and margarine until well mixed and crumbly.
  8. Pour onto pie filling.
  9. Bake for 50 minutes.
  10. Cover topping with aluminum foil during the last 10-20 minutes of baking.
