Sunday Swiss Steak
- 1 12 lbs round steaks or 1 12 lbs beef eye round
- 1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 ounce) canchef boyardee pizza sauce
- 12 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 14 teaspoon pepper (to taste)
- 14 cup olive oil
- Trim meat of excess fat and cut in to serving size pieces.
- Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Coat meat with flour mixture.
- Heat olive oil in large skillet.
- Add meat and brown on both sides.
- Drain.
- Place in crock pot.
- Cover with tomato and pizza sauce.
- Cook on low until tender, usually 4 to 6 hours.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
