Oil-Free and Low-Calories! Spicy Konnyaku
- 1 Konnyaku
- 1/2 pack Shimeji mushrooms
- 50 ml Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
- 50 ml Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 1 Ichimi spice
- 10 cm Green onion, sliced
- Score the konnyaku with a lattice pattern on its surface so that the seasonings will flavor it more easily (you can do this on only one side, if you'd like).
- Tear the konnyaku by hand.
- Heat in a pan without oil until all the water on the surface has evaporated and the konnyaku is dry.
- Combine the ingredients for the sauce.
- Add the sauce from Step 3 as well as the shimeji mushrooms to the pan and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Add ichimi spice if you'd like, and you're done.
- Garnish with green onions and serve.
