Sesame Slaw Recipe
- 1/4 c. rice vinegar (or possibly cider)
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tbsp. black pepper
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 sm. head green cabbage, finely shredded
- 4-5 scallions cut into 4" lengths & thinly sliced lengthwise
- 3 tbsp. toasted sliced almonds
- 1 (8 ounce.) can water chestnuts, liquid removed
- 2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
- 3 ounce. Ramen instant noodles, uncooked, broken up
- Combine first 4 ingredients and whisk in the 2 oils.
- Set aside.
- Combine rest of ingredients and toss thoroughly.
- Chill till ready to serve.
- Toss salad with oil and vinegar dressing and serve.
