Beef Burger Pie With Cheese Puff Recipe
- 2 tbsp. fat
- 2 tbsp. minced onion
- 3/4 pound grnd beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 2 c. tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. diced, cooked carrots
- 1 c. cooked green beans
- Heat fat in fry pan; add in onion and meat; brown well.
- Add in salt, pepper, and flour; mix.
- Add in tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce; cook till slightly thickened.
- Add in carrot and green beans.
- Pour into greased casserole or possibly 8 x 8 x 2 inch cake pan.
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tbsp.
- shortening 1/4 c. grated sharp cheese 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- Sift flour, baking pwdr, mustard, and salt together; cut in shortening.
- Add in cheese and lowfat milk; blend to a soft dough.
- Spread topping proportionately over meat mix.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 min.
- Serves 6.
