Tunisian Style Meatballs
- 1- 3/4 pounds, 1/4 ounces, weight Minced Beef
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Chopped Fresh Mint
- 1 Tablespoon Chopped Fresh Coriander
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 can (28 Oz. Size) Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 whole Lemon, Peel Only
- 1 piece Chili
- This recipe uses organic lemon.
- Mix all the ingredients together, except tomato, lemon peel, and chili.
- Let it stand for an hour.
- In the meantime, simmer the tomato with lemon peel and season if needed.
- Add sliced chili.
- Shape meat into balls and add to the tomato sauce.
- Cook gently until juice is reduced to half.
- Garnish with mint leaves.
- Enjoy!
