Autumn-Spiced Cranberry Sauce

  1. HEAT shortening in medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions; saute about 2 minutes or until slightly softened.
  3. ADD cranberry sauce, apple butter and cloves.
  4. Reduce heat.
  5. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Stir in orange peel.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
