Texas Chicken Fried Steak

  1. Rub steaks with season salt on both sides.
  2. Beat egg and milk together in a shallow bowl.
  3. Place flour in a separate shallow bowl.
  4. Drench steaks in egg mixture.
  5. Dredge steaks in flour mixture.
  6. Place steaks in frying pan with hot oil.
  7. Fry 10 minutes on each side or until no longer pink in the middle.
  8. Drain on paper towels.
  9. Mix flour in about 4 tbsp (60 ml) of the grease that steaks were cooked in.
  10. Blend together over heat until smooth and brown in appearance.
  11. Add water and milk and stir until it reaches the desired thickness.
