Mushrooms in Olive Oil

  1. Wash the mushrooms.
  2. Cut them in half if they are a little large.
  3. Pour the oil and water into a frying pan.
  4. Stir in all the remaining ingredients except the mushrooms and bring to the boil.
  5. Add the mushrooms and simmer gently for about 7 minutes, or until they are tender, turning them over occasionally.
  6. Pour into a serving dish.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning before serving, as its intensity changes with the drop in temperature.
  8. Serve cold.
