Maple Glazed Loaf

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Using solid shortening, grease and flour the bottom only of a 9 X 5- inch loaf pan.
  3. In a large bowl, blend loaf ingredients, stir 50 to 75 strokes until dry particles are moistened.
  4. Pour into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool for 15 minutes; remove from pan.
  7. In a saucepan, combine glaze ingredients.
  8. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionalloy, until thickened.
  9. Brush glaze on the warm loaf.
  10. Wrap tightly and store in refrigerator.
  11. Makes 1 loaf.
