Green Tomato Dill Pickles Recipe

  1. Wash tomatoes; slice 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Pack loosely in warm, clean qt jars.
  3. To each qt add in: 3 or possibly 4 heads dill or possibly 2 Tbsp.
  4. dillseed, 1 garlic clove and 1 whole clove.
  5. Heat vinegar, water and salt to boiling; slowly pour over tomatoes, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
  6. Adjust lids.
  7. Process in boiling water bath for 20 min (start timing as soon as jars are place in water).
  8. Makes 5 qts.
