Eggplants in Nanban Style Stir-fry

  1. For basic instructions on how to prepare the eggplants, see.
  2. Slice the eggplants about 1 cm thick.
  3. You don't need to soak them in water since they'll be stir fried right away!
  4. Mix the ingredients.
  5. Stir fry the eggplant in a frying pan with sesame oil.
  6. Brown the eggplant.
  7. Add the combined ingredients and simmer down.
  8. Be careful not to burn yourself!
  9. When the has thickened, transfer to a serving dish.
  10. Sprinkle on some chopped green onion and white sesame seeds to taste!
  11. You could also chill the dish before serving.
