Chicago Dog Fries

  1. Combine tempura batter and poppy seed.
  2. Dip waffle fries in batter.
  3. Deep fry until crisp and golden brown, following directions for cooking potatoes on tempura package; drain.
  4. Keep warm.
  5. Deep fry hot dog slices 1 to 2 min.
  6. or until golden brown.
  7. For each portion, 2 servings: Place 6 oz.
  8. hot dog slices in parchment paper-lined basket.
  9. Top with 6 oz.
  10. waffle fries, 1 Tbsp.
  11. each tomatoes and pickle relish, 2 tsp.
  12. onions, 1 tsp.
  13. mustard, 2 pickle spears and 1 pepper.
  14. Sprinkle with 1/4 tsp.
  15. celery salt.
