Cream Puff Ring Recipe
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 Large eggs
- 2 (8 ounce.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. whipping cream, whipped
- 1 (1 ounce.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 tbsp. lowfat milk
- Bring water and butter to boil.
- Add in flour and salt; stir vigorously over low heat till mix forms a ball.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
- Drop 10 1/2 cupfuls of dough on greased cookie sheet to create a 9 inch ring.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 50-55 min or possibly till golden.
- Remove from cookie sheet and cold.
- Combine cream cheese, 1 c. sugar and vanilla till well blended.
- Reserve 1/2 c. cream cheese mix.
- Fold whipped cream into remaining mix.
- Chill.
- Carefully cut top from ring; fill with cream cheese mix.
- Replace top.
- Add in remaining sugar, chocolate and lowfat milk.
- To reserve cream cheese mix; mix well.
- Spread over ring.
