Pie Crust

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, shortening, butter and salt.
  2. Cut together until the fats are in small pea sized pieces.
  3. In a measuring cup mix together the cold water, vinegar, sugar, and egg with a fork.
  4. Add the liquids to the dry ingredients and blend with a fork.
  5. Form into a flattened ball.
  6. Dust the counter with flour and roll out the pastry.
  7. This pastry may be refrigerated or frozen for later use.
