Pasta with Kale, Parmesan, Crushed Red Pepper and Garlic
- 3 cups whole wheat fusilli pasta, uncooked
- 1/4 cup Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tuscan Italian Dressing, divided
- 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onions
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 5 cups chopped stemmed kale
- 3/4 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Shaved Cheese
- Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
- Drain, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water.
- Heat 2 Tbsp.
- dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 7 min.
- or until onions are softened.
- Stir in reserved pasta cooking water and crushed red pepper; bring to boil.
- Cook 2 min.
- or until mixture is reduced by half.
- Add pasta, kale and remaining dressing; stir.
- Cook 2 min.
- or until kale is wilted and mixture is heated through, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in cheese.
