Braised Beef Ribs in Red Wine
- 1-1/2 lb. beef short ribs, cut into individual ribs Safeway 1 lb For $5.99 thru 02/09
- 1/4 cup Kraft Signature Red Wine Vinegar & Thyme Dressing
- 2 medium carrots, chopped Target 2 lb For $3.00 thru 02/06
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups fresh white mushrooms, halved
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) crushed tomatoes, undrained King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 4 cups cooked instant white rice
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Combine ribs and dressing in Dutch oven or large ovenproof saucepan.
- Add vegetables, wine and tomatoes with their liquid; cover.
- Bake 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
- Skim off fat.
- Serve meat and vegetables with pan gravy over rice.
