Blackberry Dessert Bruschetta Recipe

  1. In a food processor or possibly mixer, place cream cheese, half-and-half, and sugar, and process to soften the cream cheese.
  2. Stop the machine and scrape down the sides.
  3. Run the machine a few more seconds, then stop and add in zest, liqueur, almond paste, nutmeg, and vanilla.
  4. Process just till the mix is thoroughly blended.
  5. Remove from the processor and set aside.
  6. Butter one side of the challah slices and toast both sides on a grill or possibly under the broiler.
  7. Allow toast to cold for a minute, then cut it in half on the diagonal.
  8. Spread each toast with a generous amount of cream cheese mix.
  9. Top each of the toasts with about 1/4 c. berries.
  10. Sprinkle with toasted almonds and serve.
  11. Serves six.
